JOB DESCRIPTION


Requirements:

  • • Bachelor degree in Accounting, finance or related field.
  • • CPA or similar Professional certification preferred
  • • Strong understanding of ISA, IFRS and Kenyan tax laws and regulations
  • • Excellent analytical skills and attention to details
  • • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • • Perform audit support services to audit engagement/client service teams such as checking financial statement figures, audit confirmation processing, audit file creation and close-out.
  • • Lead and manage audit engagements, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and delivering high-quality service to clients.
  • • Support with end-to-end client engagement acceptance processes, new audit client set up and checks.
  • • Provide support in mapping of current year trial balances to the relevant financial statement's captions.
  • • Participate in discussions with clients to gather relevant information and address audit inquiries.
  • • Identify areas for process improvement and make recommendations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • • Stay informed about changes in regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to auditing.
  • • Collaborate with team members to complete audit assignments within established timelines.
  • • Assist in drafting audit reports summarizing findings and recommendations for management review.
  • • Perform other related duties and ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the Partners & Audit & Tax Manager.
  • • Provide guidance and support to junior team members, fostering their professional growth and development.

Business Development responsibilities:

  • • Leading or supporting the development of high-quality tender responses that address all requirements, demonstrate the company's unique value proposition, and differentiate it from competitors. This involves coordinating inputs from various internal departments, crafting compelling narratives, and ensuring compliance with tender specifications.
  • • Evaluating tender opportunities to determine if they align with the firm's strategic objectives, capabilities, and resources. This involves assessing factors such as the project scope, requirements, budget, timeline, and potential competition.
  • • Regularly scanning tender portals, industry publications, and networking with potential clients to identify tender opportunities relevant to the organization's expertise and services.
