JOB DESCRIPTION


Requirements:

  • • Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or similar professional certification preferred
  • • Minimum 4 years of experience with a focus on Tax services including filling returns.
  • • Strong understanding of ISA, IFRS and Kenyan Tax laws and regulations
  • • Excellent analytical skills and attention to details
  • • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities:
Tax responsibilities:

  • • Study and interpret tax laws with the view of Identifying and exploiting tax opportunities in the region so as to generate tax savings for our clients.
  • • Prepare and review corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns, while ensuring accuracy and adherence to tax laws.
  • • Perform tax health checks on clients' accounts
  • • Stay updated on changes in the tax laws in the republic of Kenya and beyond
  • • Handling correspondences with the Kenya Revenue Authority on behalf of clients
  • • Conduct research on tax issues to provide support the clients' tax planning activities.
  • • Coordinate with the Audit & Tax Manager in lodging appeals at the Tax Appeal Tribunal
  • • Attending working meetings to resolve tax disputes using the Alternative Dispute Resolution mechanism.
  • • Filing tax returns for the firm and clients

Business Development responsibilities:

  • • Leading or supporting the development of high-quality tender responses that address all requirements, demonstrate the company's unique value proposition, and differentiate it from competitors. This involves coordinating inputs from various internal departments, crafting compelling narratives, and ensuring compliance with tender specifications.
  • • Evaluating tender opportunities to determine if they align with the firm's strategic objectives, capabilities, and resources. This involves assessing factors such as the project scope, requirements, budget, timeline, and potential competition.
  • • Regularly scanning tender portals, industry publications, and networking with potential clients to identify tender opportunities relevant to the organization's expertise and services.
